❤ ❤ ❤
hello! 🙂 i know that it’s been awhile since i blogged haha. and i do remember that i promised a 2014 which i once again failed to deliver. and now it’s almost april already! time is really passing by too quickly for me 😦 everyday i go to work hoping that the day pass by quickly. and before i know it we’re about one-third done with 2015.
as the title suggests, today im gonna blog about ray and i’s third year celebration together! 😀
so we started off the day with me travelling all the way to woodlands to meet him for a mcbf (best girlf ever??) i think i woke up at about 7.30am and left home close to 9am, and met him at 10am 🙂
and so, after breakfast we made our way to the singapore zoo! 😀 i was pretty excited cause i think the last time i went to the zoo was a volunteering event in year 1 with the wheelpower. and couldnt really enjoy cause we were bringing people with some disabilities around. cant quite remember what we did anyways! :p
(anyway i just realized ‘the look’ that ray gave me in the second photo 🙂 )
After about 40 minutes of travelling from woodlands to mandai by bus, we finally reached the singapore zoo! 😀
and there we went! 🙂 i was so happy feeling like a tourist and taking pictures of everything and Ray was like aiya now you take already think very nice right but then later when you go back you see the photos you will delete one. HAHA so mean right!
thank goodness we bought the tickets with the tram ride. other wise we’ll just break our legs and waste a lot of time walking around plus the sweltering heat! oh by the way i got the tickets at $23.50 each including tram rides which is $5 off usual rates. got it from qoo10 🙄 yay! hehe.
the first stop we went to was to watch the animals’ show at the kids’ area. before that we walked around the area which had all the cute mehh mehhs, bunnies, horses. look at this cute boy boy feeding the mehh mehh 😀 i tried to imitate the mehh mehh to mehh and they mehh back at me, so i guess i was successful! 🙄
before the show started we had some photos taken! 😀 i like the one that we used the selfie stick. pardon ray’s stitch on his left eyebrow 😦
the doggies were really really cute and after the show everyone were like rushing to take photo with them, so we can’t lose! :p nah, we waited for the crowd to disburse before trying to get our own photos taken. the goldren retriever is just ❤ it’s only a few months old and it is so smart that it can perform the tricks and is already this big. i wanna own a golden retriever someday! ray too 🙂 we can have one together 😉
look! he/she’s smiling with ray! 😀
another animal i found cute: squirrel (?) i actually suspect squirrels and otters are related. they are both so cute! 😀
hippopo-TAMUS 😀 so shiny hahaha.
we also went to catch the elephant show. the elephants were really cute and obedient despite being such a huge animal. how they interact with their ‘owners’ really just blew everyone away. they’re really intelligent and it makes them so adorable!
at the gift shop, we didnt buy anything and didnt have much time to walk around cause 1. it was flooded with japanese students and 2. we were rushing off cause it looked like it was going to rain.
so after zoo we went to raffles place SUFOOD for dinner 🙂 thank you ray for the treat and thank you for always accomodating my dietary requirements. i love you, it really shows how far you are willing to go for me. and i really appreciate that. and thank you so much for the treat. i know that you kind of like saving your money so when you treat me for such occasions i really feel valued 🙂 thank you bb!
SUFOOD signature cider which tasted very nice and refreshing cause it’s sour. and it prepares our taste buds for the upcoming dishes.
this is their rosemary breadsticks with the choice of mustard or blueberry dip. ray preferred the blueberry and i really liked the mustard. great thing cause we’re not afraid that our dips will run dry 🙂
next are the salads. ray had the tropical fruit salad whereas i had the mushroom salad. both tasted pretty decent! 🙂
the soups were seriously the BEST. ray had cabbage and sweet potato soup while i had root soup. both tasted delicious and sweet but ray’s was more flavorful than mine. he said it tasted like steamboat soup, imagine how sweet that is! 🙂 the soups really blew our taste buds away. and cause i love chinese soups, i really enjoyed this course.
next were our mains! 😀 i had baked potato al funghi and ray had wild mushroom charcoal tagliatelle. tasted nice. i really really indulged in the king mushrooms and they were so juicy! it’s like i taste happiness in my mouth. all you people know how much i love mushrooms 🙂 but i really wanted to try the other mains!! 😦 i was spoilt for choice and i really had a hard time deciding what to order 😦 definitely got to go back for the pita pockets and the pizzas!
in the blink of an eye, we were at our desserts 😦 by this time we were pretty full already but the whole dinner thing passed so fast because we were constantly looking forward to our next course. i had sesame panna cotta, a little too gelat (?) and ray had banana cheesecake which was pretty decent. not something to wow over.
at the end of the day, we really really enjoyed each other’s company but decided to head home separately cause we were really tired. i refused to let him send me to tampines and he refused to let me send him to woodlands.
our first polaroids taken even though being a couple of three years. i really like the feeling of taking polaroid, like instantly having a momento to keep. something tangible to hold on to instead of being inside the phone. i love it 🙂
we seriously had our own fair share of ups and downs, and i cant thank you enough that each time when a quarrel or unhappiness arise, you’d always stick through with me and get down to the root problem and solving the whole damn situation together with me. thank you for never giving up on me, never giving up on us. thank you for never letting a cold war last pass a night’s sleep. thank you for trying your best to integrate me into your family and for letting me have a view of what it’s like to have older siblings (cause you knew i really wish i had one). thank you for noticing the slightest change in my mood because that really says a lot about how much you care about me and how sensitive you are. thank you for as much as your ability can, send me home or at least wait for me to reach home before sleeping. thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and being willing to order food for me despite really disliking it. thank you for disguising your ‘i love you’s in ways that i didnt really notice before, like ‘drink more water’, ‘sleep earlier’, ‘where are you’, ‘reach home safely’, etc. it wasnt easy coming this far together and i am really glad to see the both of us maturing in this relationship and sort of having plans together for the future. i really cant wait for the day whereby i can wake up and look at your face in the morning, or even iron your shirt and put on your tie for you. i would like to cook breakfast for you (though i think most likely you’ll cook for me cause you’re more of a morning person than me) then in this case i will volunteer myself to cook lunch and dinner.
in short, i love you.
ps. it’s the 11th day of you being in brunei and it really makes me appreciate your presence more. i seriously would rather you be in sg’s army camp than go overseas for training. jiayou for the next 9 days of JCC. after the 9 days we will be seeing each other again! i will be waiting for you to be back! ❤ love you.
